About Me

What art means to me...

I have always loved art. I did not really realize how special it was to me until high school. I had always loved drawing and painting, and finally decided to start art classes with my parents help at Mission: Renaissance. Mission: Renaissance is a classical art class center, and it was honestly such a blessing to me. I learned the way the great fathers did in realism and classicism and really uncovered my love and passion for art. This lead me to study art at Benedictine College, which is where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Art. I believe that art is a special love that God has given me, and I am excited to work on improving as an artist to bring glory to God!

Artist Statement

As an artist, I bring beauty to the world through my art. I create art to reflect God, who is goodness and beauty Himself. Art can carry so much meaning in it. I take advantage of this, and have stories in my artwork, deep meaning, past experiences, and things that I hold close to my heart. I desire those who view my art, to understand the story that my art is portraying, and be able to compare it to their own life. Many of the scenes and stories that I capture in my artwork present stories that many people have experienced in life. By experiencing and connecting with my artwork, the viewer may notice the connection not only with the piece of art, but also with the artist. This is my way as an artist, to connect with my viewer, through the stories of my art. I use art as a way of expressing myself, a way that my viewers can tell what is most important to me, as well as bringing my viewers closer to Christ through its religious aspect.

"Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire."
